Job description
Department
The University of York’s internationally recognised Bioscience Technology Facility, based in the Department of Biology, is seeking to recruit a conscientious and enthusiastic research technician to support the activities of the Protein Expression team within the wider Protein Production and Molecular Interactions Laboratories. The Protein Production laboratory provides expert support, advice, experimental design, training, and service provision for a wide range of recombinant protein expression and characterisation applications to researchers from within the University of York and the external scientific community. We provide access to equipment for liquid-handling, protein purification, fermentation and quality assessment, and also undertake a continually developing portfolio of service work covering a variety of protein expression systems. The post-holder will play a key role in the everyday running and activities of this busy and wide-ranging lab.
