Job summary
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic, organised, methodical office administrator to work within our Tissue Services Department and alongside the clinical teams at Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.
Tissue Services Department is responsible for managing and ensuring Human Tissue Authority (HTA) compliance for Human Application for QEHB, ensuring the Trust (QEHB) meets the licensing standards and quality requirements along with administration and technical support for ordering, receipt, disposal, storage and traceability for all human and human derived products for clinical transplantation at QEHB.
This is a key administrative and clerical role within a specialised service. We are looking for someone ideally with working knowledge and experience of dealing with enquires and requests for human products from clinical teams, liaising with external suppliers, ordering stock, traceability of human products, use of quality management systems, data collating and audit checks in order to meet the requirements of regulatory compliance.
You need to have a conscientious approach, be able to use your own initiative, work autonomously and have the ability to demonstrate admin experience as well as support the Team. You will need to possess good time management and prioritisation skills whilst ensuring that data is accurate and up to date. You will also need to possess excellent IT and communication skills, as well as displaying attention to detail.

This post is office based, hours are 09:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday.

Good General Education (eg. GCSE English and Maths A-C) GCSE Level 9-4
Business Administration NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience in an administrative environment
