We are currently recruiting for Front of House & Reception to join our busy team at the Killin Hotel. Set in the heart of the Scottish Highlands we are renowned for our warmth, charm and hospitality. This a thriving three-star country house hotel with 36 bedrooms and a busy food and beverage area, set amongst some of the finest scenery in Scotland

The Role

All team members are responsible for ensuring that every guest receives a warm and professional welcome and that our guests receive the quality of service and care that will match the outstanding location, food quality and presentation and truly awesome views that our guests enjoy all year round. You should also demonstrate a professional and welcoming approach and a keen interest in developing the hotel, yourself and being part of a busy successful team.

To take responsibility for all our guests whether in reception or FOH areas, working in all areas of the hotel, food & beverage, reception, and team building are key aspects of this role.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Front End Associate with three or more years of experience to join our team. As a Front End Associate, you will provide outstanding customer service and meet the demands of a busy and unpredictable work environment. You must be creative, be aware of current trends, and embrace all aspects of hotel operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Be responsible for greeting and seating guests.
  • Approachable.
  • Friendly.
  • Knowledgeable about menu items and wine lists.
  • Attentive to guests' needs.
  • Help manage the overall appearance of the restaurant/bar/hotel.
  • Manage food runners and servers.
  • Ensure that aisles and walkways are kept clear of clutter.
  • Responsible for working with the executive chef to implement assigned stations, drinks, and food item specials throughout the day.

We are seeking a hard-working, outgoing individual to join our team as a Server. The successful candidate will have experience working in a busy restaurant or bar, have great sales and customer service skills, and be willing to work weekends and evenings. Our Servers are responsible for creating a hospitable environment for customers, maintaining supplies and ensuring that the dining area is clean and well-stocked.

Responsibilities:

  • Smile and greet customers.
  • Take customers' food order.
  • Bring food to the table.
  • Bring water, drinks, and other items to the table.
  • Politely suggest closing out tabs.
  • Handle customer complaints.

Job Type: Part-time
Part-time hours: 20 per week

Salary: £10.50-£11.00 per hour
