Job description
The role of the Medical Assistant (MA) is an integral part of the patient care team in the ambulatory clinic setting. The MA is responsible for clinically and clerically supporting the physician and other staff members in the delivery of quality patient care, following established standards and procedures.
- Graduate of accredited medical assistant program REQUIRED. (certification not required)
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with patients, families and employees.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to establish priorities.
- Minimum of one year experience as a medical assistant in a primary care office, hospital; or urgent care center preferred but not required.
- Basic computer skills required.
- Excellent customer interaction skills. Current CPR/BLS certification to be obtained during orientation.
