There are two full time opportunities that have arisen for experienced health care professionals in mental health and/or community health services to join the Governance and Risk team at ELFT as Serious Incident Reviewers.
The post holder will need to be passionate about Patient Safety and learning from outcomes; have an ability to manage caseloads, and work effectively with others.

The Serious Incident Reviewer is responsible for working with the Head of Incidents Management, Associate Director of Governance and Risk, Directors of Nursing, Medical Directors, the Director of Operations, and Clinical and Service Directors to lead a high quality process for investigating and identifying learning from serious incidents throughout the Trust.
The post holder will lead the investigation of SI Reviews, ensuring that robust root cause analysis and systems reviews take place in order to identify learning and changes in practice that need to occur to prevent or reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence of similar incidents or improve the overall safety and quality of care provided.
The post holder will take the lead in communicating the learning identified to relevant staff and stakeholders, including informing the annual learning lessons programme, and will propose changes in training, development and policy throughout the Trust in order to improve the quality of care provided by the Trust.
