Job description
LCP is an award-winning actuarial and analytics consultancy providing advice on energy, pensions, investments, employee benefits, insurance and health.
Are you looking to embark upon your career in the exciting, fast-changing world of DC and Financial Wellbeing? If so, then you have come to the right place!
What will you be doing?
At LCP the work we do involves assessing the risks associated with future events. We advise clients on how much money they should set aside now, to be able to cover uncertain payments in the future and how that money should be invested. As an Analyst, you’ll be involved in analysis and modelling to supply the answers and then communicating these to our clients in a way that’s simple, clear, and easy to understand. There are plenty of opportunities for client contact at the beginning of your career, whether by email, phone, face-to-face meetings, or corporate events.
As an analyst in the DC and Financial Wellbeing department you will be helping with advising trustees and employers on all aspects of their DC pension schemes; from investment strategy modelling and selecting the right investment managers to contribution rates and communication strategies, all to ensure the best possible outcomes for members. We also help companies design employee financial wellbeing strategies using data analytics that help employees with their short and medium term aspirations as well as long term savings, such as pensions. Alongside this, you will have access to our Graduate Training Programme features a series of scheduled training sessions. These cover a wide range of areas of professional expertise as well as in-depth technical training. At the same time, we'll give you training in a variety of non-technical areas to help you develop your management and presentation skills.
As a consultancy, a key part of our work involves presenting advice and ideas to our clients in a way that is clear and easy to understand. We realise that for some, this will be a new experience - and possibly a daunting prospect! But there's no need to worry, our training programme is specifically designed to help you develop the skills and confidence you need to be a successful consultant. Initiatives such as "LCP Speaking Club" and "LCP Xtra" offer additional opportunities for you and your peers to practise your presentation skills in-house before you put them to the test in front of clients.
Of course, much of your training will be on the job, and we make sure this is structured to offer you the widest possible experience in all aspects of what we do. Finally, we have an in-house mentoring system, so there is always someone you can ask if anything seems unclear. You'll be amazed at how quickly you'll be putting what you learn to good use in your everyday work.
What's in it for you?
As well as joining a fun, collaborative, people orientated organisation where your personal and professional skills will be developed to make you the best you can be, we offer an attractive benefits package designed to promote your overall wellbeing so that you are able to perform to your full potential both in and out of work.
We continuously strive to build an inclusive workplace where all forms of diversity are valued, including age, background, disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, race, religion or sexual orientation
