ROLE OVERVIEW
The goal of the team is to build metrics which not only scale but underpin the objectives and success of these teams in the business. Collaboration across engineering/product, programme management and finance will be core to this role.
Reporting into the Director of Business Insights, you will be responsible for working to support the delivery of both dashboarding and data driven analysis/recommendations into multiple functions across the business. Alongside this supporting the delivery of individual projects as defined by functional global leads. In this role you will be supporting the Director in the management/delivery of analysis, evaluation, and the creation of reporting inc. dashboard development.
You will work to define prioritisation of projects across the business, where you will be expected to evaluate the necessary scope and build out project plans and ultimate delivery.
This will include evaluating any additional requirements for delivery where data may not be readily available. For example, we are already exploring gaps in process and/or data collection that would prevent the delivery of measurement and insight in various areas of the business.
The role is at its core technical, so a strong demonstrable experience in using SQL/advanced Excel is mandatory, whilst requiring strong communication, ability to present findings effectively and project management across multiple deliverables.
You will have the opportunity to develop and expand your skills with this role, due to the complexity and diversity of the data which is accessible in the delivery of the tasks.
ABOUT YOU
To be successful you will need to be more than an analyst, you will need to be inquisitive and curious in understanding of the business and it’s drivers – what is the impact of the decisions that are made based on your analysis will be a common question. Ambiguity is undesirable in this role, critical and precision of thinking is key.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
What you’ll be doing:
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of core management reporting – tracking key business performance metrics for the Management teams
- Support the design, development, and maintenance of core dashboards for specific functions – enabling them access to measure and track key metrics that drive their performance
- Scope high impact business problems which data can help to resolve, collecting requirements and providing analysis in collaboration with stakeholders with recommended actions to take
- Working with the Director, conduct deep analysis into core business problems, researching and formulating actionable recommendations that can be presented to Management
- Conduct quarterly requirement gathering with function leads to refine regular deliverable analysis and insight, that will drive more effective metric definition and reporting which enables them to track against agreed goal
- Partner to development of optimised/automated solutions to enable faster/regular reporting and visualisations
- Support the move from an observational analytics approach, to incorporate techniques to move to faster analysis including identification of patterns and trends
- Work closely with the Business Operations team to identify gaps in process and/or data collection to continuously improve our ability to collect, analyse and provide insights across all areas of the business
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timey delivery/stakeholder management
REQUIREMENTS:
What you need to be successful:
- A good degree (2:1 or higher) in Maths, Stem or equivalent
- Excellent communication skills: the candidate needs to be able to present insights and reports to internal stakeholders
- Proven commercial experience with statistical analysis
- Confident presentation of data driven analysis, and being able to influence decisions as an outcome
- Demonstrable use of intermediate SQL or programming experience Advanced Microsoft Excel
- Good teamwork skills Non-essential but preferred skills:Demonstrable experience to high level programming languages such as Python or R for data modelling
- Exposure/Woking knowledge of basic project management principles Knowledge of BI tools such as Tableau, QlikView, etc
- Proven experience of working with data visualisation platforms
- Previous Ad-Tech Experience (Ad servers & DSP’s)
