Our aim at Headway is to ensure that every learner has the opportunity to thrive, feel valued and be successful, and we are committed to ensuring this happens for each and every student no matter what challenges or barriers to learning they face.
We understand that every young person is an individual and they have individual talents and needs which must be nurtured if they are to be successful. We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, enthusiastic and committed individual to join our team as we develop this provision. The successful candidate will carry out a key role within the Headway team, providing the curriculum and intervention support to our students.
We offer flexible, individualised programmes for students who, for a variety of reasons, are finding mainstream school difficult, which includes a therapeutic, nurturing approach alongside our academic curriculum.
In addition to the right curriculum, children need the right pastoral care. At Headway, all students are allocated with a Key Worker, who will develop the home school partnership and ensure that communication is strong and effective.
We seek to appoint an experienced, committed and passionate individual to join our Headway Team, to support the Director of Headway, in collaboration with the Baysgarth SENCO to develop the highest standard of Special Educational Needs provision for our students. The successful candidate will have experience and knowledge of working in a school, be extremely organised, possess excellent record keeping, and have an extensive understanding of the SEND Code of Practice and the varying needs of students. The individual will be responsible for developing effective systems to promote progress across the curriculum. They will also undertake interim reviews as required, create and support plans for students, prepare intervention for students and line manage
