Bramley Cottage is a 6-bedded Residential Unit which supports adults with Learning Disabilities.
The Role would suit someone who has a knowledge of learning disability and has a keen interest in providing person centred care for our residents. The Senior Support Worker would be the shift lead and would be involved in rota management, medication management, care documentation and the provision of daily care and support.
The role would involve shifts and there is an expectation of flexibility to meet the needs of the Unit.
We are currently looking to grow our already established and dedicated team of Senior support workers/care assistants at our site, Apple Mews based in Armagh. Apple mews is one of Priory Adult cares specialist services, it is a modern, purpose built site; split into several bungalows with 5/6 residents in each bungalow. In total the site is home to 30 service users living with learning disabilities, autism and mental health conditions. Each support worker is assigned to one bungalow, encouraging relationship building between staff and service users.

As a support worker you will be supporting our residents with their day to day lives, encouraging them to live as independently as possible. You may get involved in exciting activities outside of the home too – our residents/service users participate in day trips, charity events and much more!

- Be resilient and help manage some behaviours that challenge
Whilst drivers are able to take service users out and about, you don’t need to be a driver to work here – we employ many non-drivers too!
