About us

The Regulatory, Compliance and Communications team sits within the Business Support, Integrated Systems and Performance Service covering support functions across both Care and Wellbeing and Together for Families Directorates.


We are looking for a talented, creative and driven Communications and Engagement Officer to join our small, high-performing team, responsible for the development and delivery of a detailed communications plan across the directorates but with an initial focus on Care and Wellbeing. The communications plan will include our website, publications, consultation platform, events and media to ensure that key information is shared with both residents, partners, stakeholders and our staff and will allow feedback to ensure views are heard and considered.


About you


You will have excellent organisation skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines. A strong communicator across all levels, the ideal candidate will have experience of maximising engagement using a range of channels and be able to create compelling content.


Someone with a professional approach applying discretion and diplomacy is essential. We also require flexibility and the ability to enjoy the challenge of working within a busy team environment, producing good quality, accurate outputs while often working to deadlines.


Applicants should have an appropriate qualification at level 4 or above, 4 GCSEs (A-C), or equivalent, including English and Maths, and have proficient IT skills including the ability to effectively use all Microsoft Office applications. Experience of web content management and / or digital marketing would also be preferred, as would project management experience.
