We have an exciting opportunity available in the Student Administration Service (SAS) for a Senior Student Fees Assistant.
Located in the Students' Union Building, at the heart of the main University Campus, the Student Administration Service (SAS) is responsible for critical student administration processes which enable students to begin, progress with, and complete their studies at the University.
The role is based in the Student Fees and Funding Team, which is responsible for providing the University's student finance service. It ensures that the student record holds the correct fee, funding and payment information, issues payments to students and manages student debt. The team operates within a broad portfolio of scholarships, bursaries and other financial support for students and is responsible for providing expert and up to date information to current and potential students.
Reporting to and deputising for the Student Fees Officers, you will also have line management responsibility for support assistants, lead on short term projects, provide data reports and be a referral point for complex enquiries and complaints.You will take responsibility for collection of student tuition and accommodation fees and issuing of refunds ensuring student records are kept accurate and up to date.
Working within procedural deadlines and ensuring you are adhering to data protection policies you will be responding to email, online forms and telephone, dealing with enquiries from students, colleagues across the University and from other organisations; keeping accurate and up to date records.
