The Role
We are seeking a Senior Strategist within the Global Influencer Practice team at Mindshare WW. As Senior Strategist, you will play a key role in the continuous development of influencer practice across the Unilever account. This role will consult across Unilever’s global brands, prodominently focusing on 3 Business Groups: Nutrition (Knorr, Hellmann’s, Vegetarian Butcher), Beauty & Wellbeing (Dove, Sunsilk, Vaseline, Liquid IV) and Ice Cream (Magnum, Wall’s, Cornetto). It will also cover ongoing support for other functions across the Unilever business (e.g. media, local market, consumer insights, etc.).
Under the guidance of the Influencer Practice Lead this role will focus on delivering first-class and innovative client solutions. You will work as an influencer specialist to consult and manage leading strategic work, inform best-practice and provide some operational / activation support. You will be responsible for delivering effective influencer strategies that deliver against objectives and excel expectations.
The Ideal Candidate
You will have proven experience and success in designing, executing and optimising large scale influencer campaigns. Your skills in leading and inspiring future thinking communications strategy will champion influencer opportunities within a global and multi-market environment.
Your passion for influencer marketing will be integral and you will be able to articulate this passion and your concepts effectively with a range of stakeholders. Your understanding will cover Organic, Paid and Earned influencer activations from awareness through to performance-based campaigns, including commerce and livestream integrations.
Essential Criteria
- Passion for Influencer Marketing
- Minimum 4 years experience in influencer agency/ influencer campaign-based role
- Exceptional experience with influencer campaign strategy, execution and measurement.
- Understanding and experience executing influencer assets via paid social platforms, including but not limited to Meta, TikTok, YouTube, Google, Twitter, Snapchat.
General skills include:
- Ability to draw clear insights and implications for media and influencer responses (i.e. connecting the outputs of different insight systems successfully)
- Experience building influencer insights and best practice content
- Demonstrate a passion for influencer and understanding of what makes a great influencer marketing campaign, tangibly showcasing excellence in planning craft.
- You are excited to work as part of a team; immediate and wider department. Leading by example though presence and contribution. Taking the responsibility for working in a collaborative, inclusive way
- You demonstrate excellent attention to detail and accuracy in output and meeting deadlines.
- As well as strong organization to meet client expectations, manage workflow for self and junior team members.
- Demonstrate a proactive desire to continually improve own knowledge and wider skill set
- You are open minded, flexible and have a challenger mindset.
Desirable Criteria
- Working knowledge of media space and influencer assets within wider media activations beyond paid social i.e. OOH, DOOH, on-pack, product, retailer, TV, CTV
- You are confident in presenting with passion and conviction, managing senior client relationships, running all agency team sessions and collaboratively leading client projects and tackling challenging conversations.
- Experience working on multi-market campaign – ie. South East Asia
Responsibilities
- Develop global influencer strategies for Unilever’s global brands, either as standalone or integrated with holistic comms strategy
- Design holistic strategic principles and guidance for brands or wider Business groups
- Work with Influencer Practice Lead and other key partners to deliver on projects to evolve the processes, systems, and tools in place to support influencer practice
- Develop influencer expertise across local media agencies, fostering community of experts
- Actively seek and design forums to mobilise the network and share best practice – through media days, conferences, awards ceremonies, weekly calls, quarterly get together and any other feedback loops
- Build repository of global case studies and ensure learnigns are shared across brands / markets
- Develop thought leadership content to maintain / increase influencer expertise amongst client teams
