A unique opportunity has opened up here at The Injury Clinic Market Harborough for a more experienced therapist to become part of our senior team in a clinical and development role. We are looking for someone exceptional to join us that is not only capable of managing their own client list but also delivering coaching training to other members of the team to facilitate their growth as well as the growth the clinic as a whole.

Who we are
We’re a busy private practice based in Market Harborough, Leicestershire; run by sports therapists who pride ourselves on providing a high standard of clinical and customer care to all our clients. Working with both sporting and non-sporting injuries, we aim to help people lead healthier more active lives, free of pain and restriction and get back to doing the things they love the most.
We have recently expanded the clinic to 5 treatment rooms with a rehab gym and studio space to continue to offer a complete service to our clients and as such; are looking for growth minded individuals to join us that want to make a real difference, help our team to develop further along the way and be part of our ambitious plans for the future.

Our team and culture at the clinic is incredibly important to us and we know that without them we wouldn't be able to provide the level of service we do, so we are looking for individuals to join us that naturally share our passion and values as we move forward.
As a senior practitioner you will not only be responsible for your own client caseload but also working closely with the clinical director in advising and coaching other members of the team in their development, as well as maintaining high standards and performance and development of the clinic as a whole.

Roles and Responsibilities
Working at The Injury Clinic Market Harborough in a senior practitioner role you will be responsible for:
- Reporting directly to the clinical director.
- Advising and providing guidance and development as part of a team to achieve together.
- Reflecting and acting positively on performance and use measured indicators or outcomes to drive better practice of yourself and others.
- Maintaining high standards in the treatment room and throughout the clinic.
- Delivering exceptional customer service.
- Maintaining a clean and safe working environment within the clinic
- Working with patients with a variety of conditions, sometimes over a period of weeks or months.
- Assessing, diagnosing and treating a range of MSK conditions.
- Actively listening to each individual client story to find their true reason for treatment and establish a treatment goal.
- Engage each client in their plan of care and support the patient’s journey to reach their specific goal.
- Utilise diary space effectively and efficiently to maximise use of time and help people
- Staying up to date with developments in treatments and CPD
- Effectively managing time and organisation, keep to appointment timings and to effectively document each patient's targets and progress.
- On occasion assisting in the day to day running of the clinic and appropriately dealing with client enquiries and bookings.
- Contribute towards educational and social media content to promote the clinic.
Key skills
Communication skills-
Senior practitioners need to give clear instructions and form trusting relationships with clients and the team to encourage them to work towards successful outcomes. They may also need to explain complex medical issues in ways that patients can easily understand. They also have to communicate clearly with other healthcare workers, relatives and carers.
Leadership and motivation-
As a senior role you will need to demonstrate leadership and motivational skills to help get the best out of both yourself and those around you. You will also play an active role in the development of other members of the team.
Team working skills-
You will need to work within a team here within the clinic as well as with potential other healthcare professionals (such as doctors, nurses and occupational therapists) to develop treatment plans for clients.
Time management and organisation-
Effectively manage time and organisation of yourself and others, keep to appointment timings and to effectively document each patient's targets and progress.
Problem-solving-
You will need to use your knowledge to develop treatment plans and exercises to best improve patients' health as well as help support and develop other team members within the clinic.
Patience and encouragement-
Sports Therapy is not about quick fixes. Treatment plans often take months - or even years- to complete. Sports Therapists need to encourage patients to be positive and patient and empathise with their frustrations. The same can be said for developing team members and managing expectations.
Good fitness-
Sports Therapy often involves physical work and you will need to lead by example by living a healthy lifestyle and keeping fit.
Skills and Qualifications
For this position you will need to have:
- BSc/Msc Sports Therapy / Rehabilitation or equivalent.
- Member of SST, BASRaT or equivalent.
- Experience working in clinical practice (usually more than 2 years) Demonstration of leadership or responsibility.
- Sports Massage / soft tissue experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Demonstration of a commitment to CPD / additional learnt skills.
