About the role
Exposed to the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), you will work on the specification, design, coding, testing and deployment of various solutions using .NET Core and other technologies. The ideal candidate is passionate and spirited, lives and breathes Agile and firmly believes in creating clean, testable code.
About the Team – FinCrime within Risk and ID
Risk and Identity is a core Pillar in Checkout.com. We ensure that our clients are provided with efficient and easy to use fraud-fighting tools; we remove complexity and reduce the overall cost of dealing with disputes; we provide market leading financial crime compliance solutions; we develop cutting-edge identity verification tools.
FinCrime is a team within Risk and ID.
- Provide Checkout.com and its merchants (where applicable) with a market leading financial crime compliance solution.
- Employ technology to safeguard Checkout.com , our merchants, and end users from unwittingly supporting financial crime, as well as protecting CKO from the fines and negative reputational impact that would result from a breach
- Build and maintain stable, scalable technology which will remain effective as Checkout.com grows, onboards new types of client and builds novel products
- Provide a comprehensive UI to key stakeholder groups, enabling them to perform their roles as efficiently and effectively as possible
- Strive to keep our false positive rate to a minimum, so as to balance compliance, manual effort and end user experience
What You'll Be Doing
- Discover, design, develop, and deliver new features on the platform and related services
- Collaborate with globally distributed and multidisciplinary teams
- Assist in requirements identification and in producing specifications
- Create and maintain a development environment for efficient testing and integration
- Write automated tests
- Create and maintain technical documentation
- Participate in team knowledge management and make recommendations for continuous improvement of SDLC
- Contribute and adhere to API coding standards, best practices, and procedures
About You
- Enjoy learning new skills and using the best tools for the job
- Strong knowledge and application of software design patterns
- Strong Experience with .NET Core, Fluent in C#
- Excellent practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
- Solid AWS experience
- Solid understanding of HTTP and RESTful design
- Experience with NoSQL
- Experience with Unit and Integration testing
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment workflows
- Cloud-based application development experience (we use AWS)
- Excellent communication skills, ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams
Nice to Have
- IAC experience - Terraform and Spacelift
- Working within a microservices architecture/distributed architecture
- Docker experience
- Experience of working in a compliance environment
- Scalability and high throughput software
- Finance/payments experience
