In return, we offer a salary of £35,007 to £41,064 plus 20% Shift Allowance (~ £8,212), up to 10% Bonus (~ £4,106), Company Pension, and benefits catalogue
Total Package at the time of joining could be up to £53,382.
We’ll also help you progress, and develop yourself further, and will support you with creating a development plan to achieve that.
What will I be doing?
As a Senior Operations Technician, you'll play a vital role in ensuring safe and efficient operations at our plant, while complying with environmental legislation. Your role will include the monitoring, control, and assessment of plant processes both from the plants control room and out in the field, swiftly resolving any issues that arise. Working directly for the Shift Manager, you will be expected to implement efficient work practices to the rest of the shift team and takeover full Shift Manager responsibilities in their absence. Additionally, you'll be responsible for permit to work activities and system isolation to guarantee plant safety, when needed.
Your role will be on 12 hours shift basis, both, days, and nights- equivalent of 37.5 averaged with great opportunity to have time off in between the shifts!
You might be asked to help to cover for a colleagues, or to attend a specific training, however you will be properly compensated with 1.5x overtime rate, increasing to 2x on Sundays and night shifts, and to 3x on bank holidays.
What are the requirements?
- Experience in Energy Recovery, Power plant, or other industrial processes.
- Familiarity with boilers, combustion, process control, and relevant health & safety/environmental legislation.
- Experience of safe systems of work
- Preferred recognised qualification in process plant or industrial boiler operation
- Preferred certifications: BOAS Cert IBO and IOSH working safely qualification. Don't worry if you don't have them all; we'll invest in your development from day one!
