What does a preferred candidate look like?
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and capable Senior Sales and Business Development professional, with a proven track-record of delivering successful and innovative solutions to the NHS, ideally in the areas of either clinical insourcing or outsourcing.
The successful candidate will be a natural relationship builder, commercially astute, and able to identify clinical insourcing opportunities within the NHS to further expand our customer portfolio. Candidates will need to have either a career background in clinical insourcing or outsourcing, or be in a development role that works across multi-clinical areas; thus their understanding of various clinical specialities and processes is high.
The successful candidate will play a key role defining customer and channel strategy, including Trusts, Provider Collaboratives and ICB’s, taking responsibility for their set targets as defined by the head of sales and marketing. This role offers a mix of office and remote working options that both ensure a healthy work-life balance and a close working relationship with the Sales and Marketing Team.

Essential Responsibilities – core areas
- Project manage all allocated sales opportunities
- Develop own leads and opportunities across multiple clinical areas
- Identify bid objectives, competitor analysis, buying influences, and ongoing actions and stakeholders' involvement
- Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the senior management, operations, bid management and supporting stakeholders at all levels
- Develop pre-tender key business relationships with influential business contacts within the customers decision-making unit
- Communicate the organisation's value propositions and processes through customer facing responses and presentations
- Develop and implement plans to meet commercial objectives through existing and new routes to market
- Raise the profile of IMC Healthcare Services externally, through effective networking and attendance at relevant industry and corporate functions
- Gather and report market intelligence on competitors, customers, and relevant industries
- Use CRM system to maintain organisation and transparency with wider stakeholders
- Ensure a smooth and effective handover of new contract wins to appropriate operational managers and mobilisation
The successful candidate will be rewarded with an attractive base salary and the opportunity to earn a high level of commission.

Salary - £60,000 basic plus commission.
