Senior / Release Engineers. £50k to £65k Neg. + Excellent Benefits & Relocation assistance.
Ref: M4073. East Sussex: Relocation Package; Lewes, Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings, Tunbridge Wells.
Ideally you will have 2 to 5+ years’ experience – your aim is to successfully deploy code changes across the development, test and live environments. You will work closely with the development and testing teams to ensure new packages are deployed efficiently. The role also includes managing releases into the Pre-production and Production environments, co-ordinating with the different teams and leading the implementation activities.
We are looking for: 2 to 5+ years practical experience working in an IT Role supporting and developing enterprise level customer and employee facing applications. Familiarity or knowledge across the following areas (or equivalents) will be ideal:
Shell programming; Prioritise work effectively and able to adapt plans; Able to learn new tools and techniques quickly; Problem solving techniques; Good stakeholder management; Ability to work to tight timescales when required; Peer reviews; Working effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
Knowledge of: Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins; Version control systems such as SVN; Configuration Management best practice. Customer facing web e-commerce sites; Distributed n-tiered architectures.
Previous experience of: performing a Deployment / Release Engineering role; allied with: Strong communication and collaboration skills; Analytical thinking; Creative thoughts!
Desirable: Automation; Application Design; Software Testing and tools; Object Orientated Design; Unit Testing; Systems Analysis. Java / JVM based languages; Microsoft .NET; C#; CSS and JavaScript; HTML; SOAP; REST; JSON & XML; Apache. Agile working methodologies.
