Working Hours: Full Time 35 per week
Main Purpose of the Job:
To provide a comprehensive administrative support function to the school.
To be the point of contact for SIMS related issues. Ensuring SIMS is used to its full potential, informing school development and providing class teachers with an extensive range of information.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience of working in a busy office environment, ideally in a school or education setting
- Has experience of using SIMS
- Has excellent IT skills, including Excel and Word
- Has the ability to relate well to children and adults
- Has the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Is reliable and able to use time management skills effectively
- Is highly motivated and committed to making a valuable contribution to the life of the school.

Knowledge and skills
Essential
Desirable
Previous experience of working in a busy office environment, ideally working in a school or education setting
Knowledge and awareness of the regulatory framework around education and schools
Good working knowledge of ICT systems including Word and Excel
Specific knowledge of SIMS
First Aid trained
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Excellent keyboard skills in order to produce high quality documents
Ability to pay close attention to detail to ensure accuracy
Ability to relate well to children and adults, being sensitive to their individual needs
Understanding of Data Protection and confidentiality
Be able to work constructively as part of a team, understanding school roles and responsibilities and your own position in these.
Understanding of school’s ethos and values
