As a Senior Radiographer at our Barts Hospital, you’ll have a BSC degree in diagnostic radiography (or equivalent), a postgraduate qualification and high levels of technical knowledge. Ideally, you’ll also have Radiation Protection Supervisor training and qualification, as well as the ability to work accurately and compassionately.
As a Senior Radiographer, you will:
See each patient as an individual, offering understanding and empathy
Deliver a high-quality diagnostic imaging service for a varied caseload – in the department, on the ward and in theatre
Work with leading practitioners and cutting-edge practices, equipment and facilities
Carry out scoping to develop policies and procedures
Supervise and develop junior colleagues
Ensure a service of the highest quality is delivered with sensitivity and compassion
Nuffield Health Barts Hospital
In spring 2022 we opened the doors to Nuffield Health at St Bartholomew’s Hospital: The City of London’s only independent hospital, situated next to St Bartholomew’s NHS hospital. This is our flagship centre for cardiac services and we also provide a full range of surgical and medical services, including: orthopaedics, oncology, general surgery, gynaecology and urology services.
The new hospital consists of:
48 inpatient and day case bedrooms
28 consultation rooms
Three digital operating theatres
Cardiac catheterisation lab
Specialist intensive care beds
Oncology day unit
Endoscopy and minor ops theatre
Full diagnostic imaging suite including MRI, CT, ultrasound, mammography and general X-ray
