Xbox Studios Quality in the UK is looking for an experienced Quality Lead with a growth mindset to steer the quality efforts for a large Xbox Game Studios title. You will lead a team of quality professionals to create, deliver and execute a modern and innovative quality strategy while forming an excellent partnership with the game studio developing the title.
As a member of Xbox Studios Quality, you will be part of a larger community of Quality Analysts, Engineers, Leads, Software Engineers, and Data Scientists. You will have a tremendous opportunity to share and learn from both successes and failures, and level up titles across Xbox Game Studios.

Responsibilities
Manage, lead, and grow an inclusive team of diverse people through coaching, mentoring, and modelling.
- Lead the team to build, measure, and iterate on innovative quality strategies and plans that evolve with the needs of the game in an agile development environment.
- Develop meaningful partnerships built on trust and transparency with the studio. Listen and understand where others are coming from, focus on problem definition and help influence building quality in.
- Manage partnerships with external vendors that will be directly responsible individuals for test plan execution.
- Collaborate and coordinate priorities across manual testing, data, and engineering to increase the impacts of shared deliverables while making proactive investments for the future.
- Coach the team and model correct methods to summarise, and effectively communicate the quality of the product and status of the quality efforts through conversations, wide-reaching visualisations leveraging data, and formal presentations.
- Coach employees and drive efforts to identify risks and dependencies, effectively managing and mitigating them. Continually seek process improvements.
- Cultivate and maintain a healthy team culture and foster a quality mindset across your team, and with your partners.
Qualifications
- You've led, developed, and coached people on a test or a quality team through multiple product cycles, advocating for your customers throughout.
- You use your experience to find, create, or leverage creative and innovative approaches to doing business, and regularly review the efficacy and viability of existing methodologies.
- You are proficient at developing and directing test strategies that use multiple methods including manual testing, data, telemetry, and automation. You understand when and how to balance each approach based on business needs and priorities.
- You're a collaborator, a partner, and a coach who builds trusted relationships and broad networks with curiosity-based influence strategies.
