We are ChannelsPX a new product offering here at the BBC. We're an enabler as we own & develop a platform which powers consumer facing digital products for the BBC. It uses new technologies and economies of scale to speed up development and make it more resilient.
Our mission is to accelerate the delivery of value across the BBC for the teams using our tools, services, and platform.
Our teams partner with the engineering and product talent who are evolving the audience facing digital products that are used by tens of millions of people around the world. Upon migrating to our platform, one of our products saw a 92% increase in their lighthouse score.
Our platform powers digital products like BBC News & Sport, Weather, Bitesize, Childrens.
We are scaling up and investing in our teams and need 3 Senior Product Managers to work with our multidisciplinary squads to ensure we’re working on enhancements that will provide the biggest impact for our customers (who are predominantly the internal teams using our platform).
Are you the right candidate?- You’ve been a product manager in a start-up (or demonstrable entrepreneurial spirit being able to initiate change encouraging the right behaviours and focus) or large-scale business (or demonstrable understanding of the complexity in bigger organisations and/or markets) delivering internal facing products.
- Experience with back-end or platform systems (so if things like API or other back end platforms are your jam)
- Prioritisation skills - You'll be working with the team to determine impact and value of the initiatives that they are working on. You're going to have to make difficult decisions about what things to prioritise based on business goals and OKRs.
- Evidence of use of data in decision making.

- Outcome focussed - your CV/application should focus on the outcomes You’ve been responsible for rather than the specific things you were responsible for (e.g. Generated a 25% reduction in support requests as a result of changes made to a platform)

Diversity matters at the BBC. We have a working environment where we value and respect every individual's unique contribution, enabling all of our employees to thrive and achieve their full potential.
We want to attract the broadest range of talented people to be part of the BBC – whether that’s to contribute to our programming or our wide range of non-production roles. The more diverse our workforce, the better able we are to respond to and reflect our audiences in all their diversity.
We are committed to equality of opportunity and welcome applications from individuals, regardless of age, gender, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, gender identity, socio-economic background, religion and/or belief.
