Checkit
Full Time Cambridge, East of England, England 50094 - 73973 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Checkit uniquely combines smart sensors and workflow software to provide the analytics and insights that complex organisations need to deliver a safer, more efficient and streamlined service to their customers. Our clients are spread across the healthcare, biopharma, assisted living, food service and facilities management sectors.
As a Senior Product Manager, you will work closely with colleagues across our Product & Engineering, Sales, Customer Success and Commercial Operations teams to ensure that we continually evolve our product offering, ensuring that we have the most technically advanced product portfolio possible, with a specific focus on one or more of our product value streams. You’ll develop a strong understanding of technology, market, customer and requirements, using this knowledge to plan the evolution of our products and deliver incredible value for our customers.
We’re looking for an accomplished and experienced Product Manager, ideally with some relevant sector experience. You’ll understand the product lifecycle journey, how to effectively manage a product roadmap, how to plan for future product development, and how to keep the needs of the customer front and centre in everything you do. This is a senior position that will help to shape the future product evolution of our industry leading company.

What you'll be doing

  • Owning one or more value streams for Checkit’s products, managing their development and lifecycle.
  • Owning the roadmap and backlog, taking into account customer needs, product strategy, value propositions, competitor analysis and internal operational requirements.
  • Creating clear justifications for product plans and investments, working with stakeholders across the business as well as finance analysts.
  • Communicating product strategy, explaining benefits and rationale, setting clear expectations and evangelising benefits.
  • Building a deep understanding of customers’ problems and Checkit’s role in solving them now and in the future.
  • Working with product engineering to develop solutions and specifications, ensuring that both functional and non-functional priorities are addressed.
  • Managing product launch, coordinating all related activities.
  • Training Sales and Presales teams on key features and benefits.
  • Acting as the product owner in-life, acting as a source of knowledge and insight and supporting complex sales opportunities and RFPs.
  • Prioritising fixes and updates in response to customer issues.
  • Analysing performance, usage and profitability, using the results to feed back into lifecycle plans.
  • Planning and implementing end of life strategies for features/product lines that are not fit for purpose.

What we're looking for

  • Substantial experience in product management or similar role within a SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrable success in building and launching new B2B products.
  • An understanding of cloud platforms, IoT, data and mobile application technologies.
  • Experience of Agile development methodologies.
  • Experience writing business requirements.
  • Proven ability to work with customers and customer-facing teams to capture customer needs and develop value propositions.
  • Great communication skills, able to interact with stakeholders at all levels from Directors and Product Managers to Engineers.
  • Ability to say no - Product Managers always have more requests than there is capacity!
  • Organised and able to focus on what matters in the face of many potential distractions and requests.
  • An appreciation of and interest in user experience and design.
  • The ability to build business justifications and model user behaviour.
  • The ability to prioritise and deliver in the face of many opportunities and demands.
  • The ability to translate abstract ideas into practical steps.
