Senior Private Banker
Develop and implement the Business Growth plans relating to the Jersey Branch, with particular emphasis on professional introducers and originating new private client relationships. Responsibility for achieving the targets and objectives of the job holder. Lead meaningful client relationships, providing high quality advice across the range of services offered by Nedbank Private Wealth, placing emphasis on long term wealth planning.

Role specific details
- Lead the client origination strategy, in collaboration with Head of Private Banking Jersey, to meet the business and individual objectives.
- Accountability for the achievement of financial goals.
- Implementation of business planning and strategic objectives.
- Providing a high level of service and advice to new, existing and potential clients of Nedbank Private Wealth (NPW).
- Contributing to the successful expansion of NPW’s operations and to be instrumental in the development of the marketing strategy, directly assisting in raising the profile of the business.
- Promote full proposition, from Banking (including credit), Investment, Wealth Planning and structuring.
- The jobholder will maintain a number of private clients and will act as the main point of contact for the relationship, responsible for advising clients and assessing ongoing suitability.
- The jobholder will be expected to work within a closely regulated regime to offer financial and investment advice to clients that is compliant within those regulations. This front-end advice is to be provided by the jobholder whilst others within the group will undertake the financial management of the assets.
- Duties include the delivery of investment and credit proposals, utilising the support resources available and the assessment of any risks that the Bank faces in providing solutions (both investment and credit).
- Risk management. Ongoing responsibility for maintaining knowledge of clients and expected activity, completing periodic reviews in a timely fashion. A clear and in depth understanding of the Jersey Financial Services Commission Handbook for AML/CFT is expected.
- The jobholder will be expected to travel as necessary to perform duties.
- Will be required to remain fully conversant with bank policies and procedures.
- To provide management information relating to activity, revenue, profitability, and products/services usage. Record all activity via the CRM software provided. Demonstrate best practice in maintaining CRM records and new business opportunities.
- Membership of appropriate committees (this may include the Branch Oversight Committee).
- To undertake such other duties as the Bank may require from time to time.
Qualifications
- Level 6 industry qualification
- CeMAP (preferred, not essential)
