Exciting opportunity with a well-established, leading Manufacturer of home textiles. My client is currently looking for a creative and experienced Senior Print Designer for a leading supplier to the best names on the UK high street. They are a leading Manufacturer of home textiles with sustained and an impressive rate of growth since it first started trading, exciting opportunity for a talented Senior Print Designer.
Senior Print Designer – Home Textiles & Soft Furnishings:
- Creative, fast fashion and highly trend led print based role working closely with the home interiors designers, buyers and merchandisers in the team to provide the most forward thinking and innovative new design concepts for home textiles to the UK high street.
- Responsible for trend research and create exciting prints to be used over a variety of end products such as curtains, throws, bedding, cushions and rugs.
- You will have a fashion and feminine handwriting, with experience in varied print techniques.
- Meeting customer deadlines in a timely fashion and ensuring critical path deadlines are met.
- Interpreting customer briefs and trend packs to create innovative commercial products for the retail sector
- Managing an existing team of print designers and making sure product is on time and in line with the critical path
- Liaising with the mill and factories on developments and designs.
Senior Print Designer – Home Textiles & Soft Furnishings:
- Passionate about designing prints across a variety of homeware products and home textiles.
- Highly fashion focused and trend led with proven experience of working with fast fashion UK High Street and Volume retailers.
- Understanding fabric composition and how prints/graphics react to different fabric bases would be a distinct advantage
- Strong CAD skills across Photoshop and Illustrator are essential.
- You will have a fashion and feminine handwriting, with experience in varied print techniques.
- Experience managing a team of Print designers, from assistants to juniors
- Identifying the next big thing in the womenswear print market.
- Knowledge of multiple print techniques.
- Ability to manage own workload
- Ability to communicate at all levels is key
