WHERE DOES THE ROLE FIT WITHIN TED'S TEAM?
Working within Ted’s eCommerce team in Ted Baker’s in-house photography studio, the Senior Photographer reports into the Photography Manager and works closely with the eCommerce and creative team. The role of Senior Photographer provides all areas of the business with commercial and and on occasion, creative photography.
We are looking for a talented and highly creative photographer who can take our imagery to the next level.
This role is ideal for a technical, highly organised, creative and self-motivated individual. High standards, brand awareness, understanding of product and a desire to create the best quality images are essential.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Shoot high quality photography at volume for Ted Baker online as well as creative content shoots when required.
  • To follow Ted’s In House Shoot guide and support the Photography Manager with image improvements
  • To ensure that daily output target, set by the Senior Studio Production Manager and weekly productivity requirements are met, as well as making sure that imagery is in-line with brand guidelines.
  • To research current styles and trends within product photography for development and growth of the Ted Baker brand and website
  • To assist in the mentoring of the photography team.
  • In the Photographer Manager's absence, review and approve the team’s work on a daily basis, pre-retouch, to ensure Ted’s In House team is producing the best on brand imagery.
  • Work collaboratively with the styling team and Studio producer to cast models appropriate for Ted.
TOOLS OF THE TRADE
  • Portfolio that demonstrates expertise and judgment in the applied techniques of on-figure fashion photography and stills product photography (composition, lighting, capture, and processing), as well as pre-production and post-production steps
  • Ability to art direct and also take direction, working well alone and in a team
  • Degree or equivalent in photography, or relevant creative degree
  • Extensive experience in a professional studio photography environment
  • Experience working in-house for a brand or a digital pure player.
  • Excellent knowledge of common digital capture platforms, various lighting environments, photography equipment and best practices/conventions for set safety
  • Advanced knowledge of Capture One, Canon Camera Systems and Profoto lighting is a must.
  • Self-motivated but able to work within a very close-knit team
  • Experienced Photoshop user with a strong understanding of colour correction Knowledge of Mac OSX and PC computing platforms
  • Video capture and editing experience a plus but not essential.
