A vacancy has arisen within the Parking Services team at the London Borough of Merton for an administration assistant on a permanent basis.
The administration teams within Parking are responsible for replying to representations from motorists, giving advise to members of the public and other customers, issuing permits for use within car parks and the controlled parking zones (CPZ) throughout the borough, checking customer eligibility and approving or rejecting permit applications, as well as reviewing applications for dispensations and waivers.
This role will be primarily within the permits team.
The main duties of this role will involve;
processing permit applications in line with department procedures
reviewing and processing suspension and dispensation requests
assisting members of the public with enquiries relating to permits, parking and waivers and suspensions
sorting and allocating incoming post
allocating and processing payments in line with department procedures
processing permit cancellation requests and refunds in line with department procedures
While previous experience of working in a parking environment would be preferred, it is not essential
