This is a secondment/fixed term contract opportunity for 2 years, with the possibility of moving to permanent. The role is full-time, with a minimum requirement of 2 days per week in the office.
We are looking for a strong and experienced PA to support one of our Strategic Directors at Ealing Council.
This exciting role is part of a corporate support team designed to operate at the heart of the Council and support the Strategic Leadership Team to work effectively with Councillors, officers, and partners to deliver for the borough.
The role will provide comprehensive, high level, confidential executive support to the Strategic Director, including diary management and high-level administrative support, ensuring that the Strategic Director’s work is prioritised and processed efficiently.
This role will work closely with other senior officers within the Directorate to help the Strategic Director deliver effectively. You will also work closely with other senior PAs across the Council as well as officers in other services. You will engage with external stakeholders on behalf of the Strategic Director and with residents, so strong communication skills are essential.
About you
You will bring experience working in a similar high profile executive support environment and be comfortable with working to short deadlines in a fast-paced environment. You will ideally have experience working in local government or, if not, demonstrate a thorough understanding of local government and its functions.
You will be an excellent communicator both verbally and in writing and be able to build strong working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders. You will have excellent organisational skills and the judgement to ensure that issues are identified and responded to effectively and that the Strategic Director is effectively supported in their work.
