Senior Paediatric Orthotist Birmingham, England

Blatchford
Full Time Birmingham, England 25973 - 32953 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Blatchford is a multi-award winning manufacturer of some of the world’s most advanced prosthetic technology, bespoke seating solutions and orthotic devices. Our evidence-based approach and commitment to continuously challenge possibilities ensures our mobility solutions prioritise the wellbeing and long-term health of our users.

Through science, technology, and maintaining a clear focus on people, we make mobility possible.

We currently have a vacancy for a Senior Orthotist at Birmingham Children’s Hospital. Clinics are mixed paediatric and offer a wide variety of patients, allowing you to develop and use your experience in paediatric and complex orthopaedic work.

Birmingham Children’s Hospital is one of the leading paediatric hospitals in the country, providing a wide range of services to children and young adults in the W Midlands and beyond. It is a designated centre for 34 specialities including major trauma, burns and neurology. Our clinicians work closely with the MDT as Orthotics is located in Outpatients which is also home to the fracture clinic, and the Physio and OT departments.

There may be an occasional need to travel to provide clinical cover and support to the wider Blatchford team in the West Midlands/South West area.

Birmingham is centrally located and is close to the M6, M5 and M42 motorways, giving easy access to the wider Midlands area. The central location of the hospital provides the flexibility to live either within this vibrant city or in the attractive towns and villages surrounding Birmingham.

To succeed in this role, you’ll be an experienced Orthotist who thrives in a team environment. You’ll be forward thinking with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care, managing individual cases to deliver the most appropriate and effective treatment.

Your approach will be flexible and innovative and you’ll work to the highest professional standards to maintain our excellent reputation and ensure full patient satisfaction.

To be considered, you’ll be degree qualified in Prosthetics & Orthotics (or equivalent) and must be registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC) in the UK.

Membership of BAPO or ISPO would also be helpful, but not essential.

In return we offer:

  • Highly competitive salary
  • 25 days holiday
  • Pension
  • Discounted shopping and leisure activities
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Health cash plan
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • EAP (Employee Assistance Programme) Scheme
We're also happy to consider condensed hours/part time working or a job share.
