About the role
We are excited to announce that we have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Operations Manager to work across our Zoom network. You will be responsible for the coordination and development of all aspects of the warehouse and delivery operations in multiple sites. Leading the site teams to land a diverse, open and engaging culture whilst utilising appropriate support from subject matter experts. Delivering the agreed KPIs through your team you will provide consistent outstanding service to customers in a safe, clean, respectful, aspirational, productive, robust and flexible working environment. You will always be living and breathing the 5 pillars, placing equal focus on all and role modelling Ocado’s core behavioural principles. Managing all operational resources, ensuring health & safety adherence and full legislative compliance within the Zoom Warehouse and across the delivery fleet.
About you
You are an experienced manager, with multi-site or large complex operation experience. Who has qualified in either IOSH Managing Safety or the equivalent. You are used to Building, Fleet Management, Facilities Management, budgets and target setting in an FMCG environment and have knowledge of a computerised warehouse management system and current Health and safety practices. You are used to working in, and championing a Continuous Improvement environment and have very strong verbal communication, written and numeracy skills as well as high levels of PC/Microsoft Literacy. You will be able to lead your team and foster a culture of respect, identity, loyalty, pride, trust and aspiration. Empowering your team to achieve the targets set, you will engage effectively and ensure standards of safety, welfare, quality, conduct and process are rigorously maintained. You will be able to appraise and identify operational training and development needs, whilst coaching and mentoring the management team from Induction. Facilitating inter-departmental communication to ensure efficient planning of site operations you will ensure the operational plan is executed in line with the needs of the client, outside service providers, Union/Council groups and the wider team. You will be able to evaluate objectively and flex performance metrics to deliver productivity expectations and quality standards through measuring process capability rather than production outcomes
