What will I be responsible for?
As the senior operations manager, you will be overseeing the operations department supporting the UK field engineering team. You will be responsible for ensuring profitable operations across the team, nationwide; whilst ensuring all staff members are delivering quality work, safely.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing strategy that supports the engineering team to deliver an enhanced customer experience whilst adhering to key performance metrics. Our Senior Operations Managers are also responsible for managing key supplier relationships within the industry.
What would a typical day look like?
· Lead the operations department heads to deliver their core functions, be that customer service desk, parts procurement, through to field service engineers.
· Ensuring compliance to all company health and safety policies
· Work to ISO Compliance and industry best practice & standards
· Working closely with the Managing Director to ensure your department is achieving key metrics.
· Manage customer relations and complaint handling.
· Help generate sales opportunities, drive customer loyalty and retention.
· Using your comprehensive knowledge of computer systems to organise data and report on the department’s performance and profitability.
· Lead the team and support in mentoring opportunities.
· Continuously develop and build a suite of management reporting to be used at all levels.
· Work with supply partners throughout the industry
· Work closely with the HR team to develop personal development plans for your team.
· Attend networking events to help grow the MCFT brand.

To be successful:
Ideally you have 5+ years in running and managing teams.
You’ll have experience in financial/budgetary ownership.
You are a people person who leads and mentors by example.
You have experience in delivering key performance metrics and can lead your team to deliver challenging targets.
You understand the premise of offering a value for money, customer service.
It would be great if you had some understanding of the hospitality or commercial catering industry (although not a requirement).
