BAND 3 SENIOR NURSING ASSISTANT VACANCIES IN THE OXFORD CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL Do you have experience working with children and young people? Do you have a childcare qualification (NVQ level 3) or other healthcare experience? If so, we could have the perfect job for you. This role will involve caring for children on Tom's Ward with the support of a registered nurse and being responsible for some house-keeping duties. Training will be given to successful applicants who will be required to complete a set of competencies enabling them to undertake specific additional nursing care duties and responsibilities. Tom's Ward is an acute, surgical children's ward which accommodates up to 20 patients between the ages of 0-16years. Tom’s ward primarily cares for patients requiring emergency and elective surgery from a variety of specialities, offering a diverse experience and a fantastic opportunity for a newly appointed Senior Nursing Assistant. Your main duties will include caring for patients, helping them with their daily personal care needs, manual handling, and monitoring their clinical condition. You will be jointly responsible for some house-keeping duties alongside the rest of the team.
