About The Role

Due to the continued success and expansion of our client we have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Network Delivery Manager to join their team. Reporting into the Head of Delivery, this Management Leadership role will have full responsibility for driving overall operational delivery of civils and cabling/splicing.

Our client delivers service excellence on a nationwide basis. From the national fibre networks which millions of homes and businesses rely upon every day, to the infrastructure that delivers the latest technology to Multi-Dwelling Units (MDU's) across the UK. Providing installation and maintenance of infrastructure to MDU's across the UK for public sector, social housing, and private landlords, which include the latest technology, FTTP and IRS.

The role & responsibilities

Reporting into Head of Business Connections, this role will have full responsibility for driving overall operational and financial delivery of our customer demand driven workstream on behalf of VMO2 across the South East region.

The role holder will be instrumental in providing leadership, setting direction and developing opportunities to improve efficiency, effectiveness and customer service through empowering and inspiring both their direct labour team and subcontract partners, whilst maintaining a strong safety ‘zero-harm’ and performance leadership culture so that our people work safely and flourish to deliver the best possible business and customer outcomes.

You will:

  • Accountable for creating a safe working environment with a zero-harm culture
  • Through visible leadership, empower, engage, and motivate your people
  • Developing a high performance customer centric culture, with commercial focus and ensuring the team works in partnership and proactively support success across the business
  • Liaising, holding to account and challenging stakeholders to ensure we achieve the customer outcome
  • Safety, operational and financial risk management to ensure protection of our people and the contract KPIs
  • Foster and maintain health collaborative partnerships with both internal & external stakeholders - including contract partners, local authorities
  • Drive delivery predictability and accurate revenue forecasting
  • Manage contract partner delivery and performance, ensuring high quality standards and performance metrics through pro-active performance and contract management
  • Providing expertise and specialist assistance as required
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across the team
  • Ensure that our client remains partner of choice through building and maintaining a strategic relationship with the client

Experience/Knowledge

Essential

  • Good understanding of Cabling –Fibre and Construction
  • Background in Construction Utility Industry, Strong knowledge of NRSWA, Notices and Permits
  • Strong awareness of customer satisfaction for both internal and external sources.
  • Financial awareness
  • Strong understanding of Health & Safety and Quality Assurance Procedures, Roads and Street Works Act 1991, Construction Design Management Regulations and Section 74 Regulations.

Desirable

  • Significant, demonstrable experience working within the telecommunications industry at Management level
  • Extensive knowledge of NRSWA, Notices and Permits
  • Experience on Openreach networks is an advantage as our customer network will be utilising the PIA access.
  • A good understanding of FTTP Networks preferred.
