Job description
The Bank House Hotel, Spa and Golf Club is a 4 star hotel which boasts 66 rooms, a restaurant and bar, as well as flexible business facilities with meeting and conference rooms suitable for training courses, conferences, workshops or corporate celebration dinners, weddings & events for up to 500 people. It also has the beautiful Malvern View Spa and picturesque Bransford Golf Club.
This main responsibility of this role will be the Hotel’s Spa which includes a swimming pool, sauna and jacuzzi. You will be responsible for the Plant Room and the equipment.
You will need to record all your daily tasks such as water-testing and controlling the chemical balance ensuring it is correct and within limits at all times. The temperature of the water in the swimming pool and jacuzzi needs to be monitored and controlled at all times.
You will also be responsible for the upkeep of the general maintenance within the Spa performing repairs as and when required.
The role includes all aspects of property maintenance including repair of fixtures and fittings, basic plumbing repairs, painting and decorating, clearing of gutters and drains and the general upkeep of the internal and external areas of the properties.
We anticipate 70% of your time would be spent in the Spa and the other 30% working in other areas of the Hotel supporting the rest of the Maintenance Team.
The role would suit an individual who is highly practical with a good DIY skill base, has a keen eye for detail and is able to work on their own initiative.
Previous experience in a similar role working with spa equipment or in a hotel would be advantageous. If you have no experience with spa equipment and you are keen to learn then training can be given.
Level of experience and trade knowledge will define the salary.
This a 40 hour per week contracted role.
5 x 8hour shifts.
As this is a Hotel and we are open 24/7and there will be times when you will be required to work late shifts so as to complete work when the spa is closed. You will also be required to work the occasional weekend to provide maintenance duty cover. This will be rostered and shared out fairly with the rest of the team.
