In this role:
This position is for an established and productive individual contributor in the Assembly sub-family, who works under moderate supervision. Performs the various tasks necessary to assemble micro-electronic assemblies for production. This job performs the standard assembly, die bonding, wire bonding, and installation steps for the components required in production line assemblies. This includes the documentation necessary to track the traveler (electronic or paper) and the assembler's performance.
You are responsible for:
- Performing a wide variety of electrical/mechanical product assembly operations on components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
- Preparing assembly work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and following blueprint specifications
- Populating PCB's from Work Instructions and Assembly Drawings / Bills of Material
- Assembling components by positioning parts and sub-assemblies examining connections for correct fit, and fastening parts and sub-assemblies
- Performing two or three of the following job duties; Board Mount; Solder SMT components on PCB's
- Assembling PCB's into housings using wire bonding and die attach.
- Cleaning PCB's and assemblies throughout process and after completion
- Continuously meeting/exceeding production schedules and deadlines according to quality standards
- Maintaining logs and paperwork and forms accurately consistent with company policy and practices
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 5 or more years of relevant work experience
- Soldering, or basic mechanical assembly
- Ability to read simple assembly drawings
- Knowledge of ESD (Electrostatic discharge) procedures
- Knowledge of basic computer skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to work with general instruction on daily activities
- Basic reading writing in English as well as basic arithmetic skills
The disclosed salary range is a general guideline for Mercury team members employed at the job level at the location listed above and does not include overtime for eligible hourly employees.
