As a Senior Mental Health Practitioner working within the team at HMP Rye Hill you will provide a holistic package of care to patients within the prison system and manage the assessment of health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care, for the prison population, including clinical risk assessment. You will ensure that you assess physical and mental health of prisoners on admission to the prison and throughout their period of custody so that any appropriate referral can be made. You will also be responsible for making a clinical judgement with regard to any immediate need and long term treatment.

About You

You will be a qualified Registered Nurse (Mental Health), Paramedic, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist with a real passion for developing your clinical skills in an environment that is ever changing. You’ll have a flexible approach working within a team that encourage new ideas and opinions on how to improve the service.

You’ll receive an annual salary up to £44,00 per annum - depending on experience.
