The role
Source catering are looking for a kitchen porter to join the team in the halls of residence working with the kitchen and front of house staff to provide an efficient clean and well organised wash up area.
What will you be doing?
Maintaining an organised and clean wash up cycle of crockery, cutlery, pans and other goods ensuring the kitchen is kept clean and tidy. Operating and cleaning of kitchen equipment. Keeping the stores area clean and assisting with receiving and checking goods inwards this will include cleaning and waste collation of external areas. Assisting under supervision with simple food preparation.
You should apply if
- No specific qualifications are required as on the job training will be provided
- You will be required to satisfactorily complete a basic food hygiene course within six months
- A good basic standard of literacy and numeracy
- Good communication skills
Additional information
Term time only (34 week per year), 16 hours per week
