Position Profile:Brief Description:
The Medical advisor role is responsible primarily for Code Final Signatory expertise within the UK&I affiliate. This role is essential in realizing the affiliate objectives through expertly guiding the execution of Code compliant commercial projects. The medical advisor signatory is involved and advises on the best strategic compliant approach at concept creation through to Final ABPI/ IPHA Code Signatory approval. The role reports to the Country Medical Director and will have responsibility for approvals in Neuroscience and Haem- Onc therapy areas. The role works in close collaboration and with guidance and from the Country Medical director, Therapy Area Medical Directors and other Affiliate Signatories.
Core responsibilities
As an established expert in the understanding and execution of the ABPI Code, this person will bring enthusiasm for compliance and drive the Code as an enabler to do business and meet our patient focused goals.
Engaging early to provide expertise at the concept stage of new campaigns.- Maintains knowledge of therapeutic areas and projects to align advice with the medical tactical plan and with the brand strategic drivers.
- Maintaining knowledge and awareness of Code updates and case learnings
- Provides insight and guidance on the strategic use of progressive technology to engage meaningfully with HCPS and patients
- This role provides Signatory expertise across Jazz therapy areas to ensure a consistent high standard approach.
- Provides constructive feedback to cross- functional team members involved in creation and review of assets.
- Makes clear and collaborative decisions whilst recognizing the special remit and responsibility of the signatory role
- Shares best practice and learnings regularly to support continuous improvement, working in collaboration with all stakeholders including the Technical review manager role.
- The role will also provide support for review and approval of other materials as needed eg. Medical materials, Press release, patient materials, other corporate materials etc.
- Follows all necessary local regulations and Jazz SOPs and Codes of practice, encouraging others to do the same through example setting.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Expert, detailed and up to date knowledge of ABPI and IPHA Codes of Practice.- A demonstrated knowledge of Electronical Approval Systems for code compliance and business users needs of such systems.
- Excellent collaboration and communications skills. The ability to involve users and stakeholders to determine and support in implementation of solutions.
- Project management experience: documentation of actions and clear decision making with regular reporting are key elements to this role.
- Able to learn quickly, assimilate and share data and make good business use of collaborative tools
- This person is pro-active and willingly engages with others to get the work done and demonstrates Jazz values throughout.
Required/Preferred Education and Licenses
This role is a full-time position (4 days will be considered)- Recent experience as a final HCP signatory for the ABPI Code
- A registered UK medical practitioner (doctor or pharmacist)
- Home based: likely to be face to face with colleagues at least 1 day/week
- Jazz operates a hybrid working model with the option of home working and requirement to be in the Jazz Oxford and London offices for key meetings, as required.
- Ideally has recent medical affairs or medical information type experience within the UK
- Proficient in spoken and written English language.
