Job Title: Senior Medical Copywriter
Location: Hybrid working with Sunderland office, remote working considered
Salary: up to £45k (depending on skills and experience)
Our client is an independent creative, digital and design advertising agency that sparks and sustains successful brands for high-profile clients in the healthcare sector and they’re looking to expand their team with an ambitious, motivated Medical Copywriter.
The agency specialise in the human and animal health sectors. Working with major global brands, they develop marketing communications targeting healthcare professionals, payers, influencers, patients and consumers.
Working with a small, dynamic team you will have full autonomy and be working across internationally significant projects. You will be expected to develop and deliver high level medical copywriting services across a range of different clients. The ideal candidate will be confident in crafting compelling educational, informative and promotional content that is not only engaging and persuasive, but also scientifically / technically accurate for a range of audiences, communications objectives and media.
- Adding insight and value to client briefings / meetings. Making time to research, consider & prepare to be seen as the expert in all matters of content / copy.
- Developing a deep understanding of client data, products and therapy areas, convert / adapt into key messages and insightful, accurate copy that resonate with a range of different audiences.
- Support development of content for new business development opportunities, playing an active role in converting new clients at pitch stage.
- Develop creative and technical content across a varied portfolio, creating copy across multiple channels.
- Ensuring the delivery of high quality work and service to encourage client retention.
- Education to degree standard in a medical / life sciences discipline.
- Healthcare / life sciences industry or agency knowledge and experience.
- At least 5 years demonstrable writing experience.
- High level ability to craft compelling and insightful technical content across a range of topics, lengths, formats and audiences.
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail, deadlines and estimating of time required.
- Positive, proactive attitude and ability to work well as part of a growing team.
- Strong awareness and aptitude for marketing.
- Commercial awareness.
- Computer literacy with MS Office software.
