IT Support Engineer

Responsibilities:The IT Support Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
- Managing and maintaining Microsoft 365 applications and services to optimise productivity and collaboration.
- Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment to ensure reliable connectivity.
- Administering VMware virtualisation environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and performance tuning.
- Handling storage solutions to ensure data availability, integrity, and efficient utilisation.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance IT security protocols.
- Assisting in the planning and execution of IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.
IT Support Engineer Qualifications:To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications a plus.
- Proven experience in IT support roles, with a strong command of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
- Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco networking equipment, including routers and switches.
- Hands-on experience with VMware virtualisation technologies, including vSphere and vCenter.
- Familiarity with storage solutions and protocols, ensuring data integrity and high availability.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to technical support.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
