IT Support Engineer

The clientis a leading company known for its commitment to technological excellence and seamless IT infrastructure. We are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT Support Engineer to join our team and contribute to our mission of maintaining robust and efficient systems.

Responsibilities:The IT Support Engineer will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our IT environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting for end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly.
  • Managing and maintaining Microsoft 365 applications and services to optimise productivity and collaboration.
  • Configuring, managing, and troubleshooting Cisco networking equipment to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Administering VMware virtualisation environments, including provisioning, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Handling storage solutions to ensure data availability, integrity, and efficient utilisation.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement and enhance IT security protocols.
  • Assisting in the planning and execution of IT projects, upgrades, and migrations.

IT Support Engineer Qualifications:To excel in this role, the ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field; relevant certifications a plus.
  • Proven experience in IT support roles, with a strong command of Microsoft 365 applications and services.
  • Proficiency in configuring and managing Cisco networking equipment, including routers and switches.
  • Hands-on experience with VMware virtualisation technologies, including vSphere and vCenter.
  • Familiarity with storage solutions and protocols, ensuring data integrity and high availability.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to technical support.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, enabling effective interaction with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
