About Zoom by Ocado
Zoom is our fast-growing rapid delivery service, delivering convenience without compromise to customers in London and Leeds. With over 10,000 products to choose from, Zoom gives customers more choices than other rapid delivery services, all delivered in less than 60 minutes.
Although we work very closely with our colleagues in Ocado.com, Zoom is its own business, with a separate website and app, and a small dedicated team that looks after ranging, pricing and promotions, the content of the website and app, and marketing. The Role/Profile
This role is responsible for the total Zoom income across all revenue streams and managing the strategic relationship between Zoom and our key supplier partners. As we grow the Zoom by Ocado business, this role is pivotal to ensuring we continue to achieve supplier income targets and develop collaborative relationships whilst exploring additional revenue streams in order to support our ambitious growth plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Negotiating supplier-funded media and supporting the strategy to deliver the overarching commercial targets of Zoom by Ocado
- End-to-end management of quarterly supplier strategy sessions. Focussed on the creation and delivery of external facing presentations of insights and recommendations about Zoom
- Manage the relationship between Zoom and selected key Partner suppliers, overseeing activations, promotional strategy, marketing and ranging decisions with the support of the Zoom Trading and Marketing teams to implement these
- Monitor and identify opportunities to drive supplier performance ensuring that the goals of the supplier in the channel are being met
- Build supplier strategy plans to work with the Zoom Trading team to create new ideas and implement key media campaigns
- Input into the Zoom promotional & events calendar, ensuring key activities related to suppliers take place and achieve collaborative goals set out with them
The ideal candidate
- Have prior negotiation experience - and the ability to influence others to deliver maxim commercial income for the Zoom by Ocado business
- Have a commercial mindset and be a great problem-solver - using these skills to help answer business questions and uncover actionable insight
- Be numerate - can demonstrate their experience using large datasets and have great Excel skills
- Be a strong communicator - able to feedback on their findings to a range of stakeholders across all levels and utilise Powerpoint to present learnings
- Collaborate across teams - seeking knowledge from others and willing to share expertise
You will need
- Minimum 2-3 years experience, with previous commercial Retail or Grocery experience
- Data analysis - experience understanding complex data sets and working with data and analysis
- Storytelling - taking the data and insights that you’ve found and communicating them to others in a concise and understandable way
- Influencing stakeholders to make the right decisions using your insight
- Strong Excel and IT skills
- A good team player and the ability to coach others
- Organisational skills in order to deal with a variety of different tasks at the same time
- Project management capability
- Passion for working in Food and Retail, with a keen desire to learn and expand knowledge in this exciting industry
