THE COMPANY:
We’re working with a research & consultancy business who are specialists in the tech and media sector, working with wearables, home audio, video entertainment and smart home. Their clients include the likes of Google, Amazon & Samsung, Cisco, Intel, Microsoft and Hollywood film studios!
They are at the forefront of the changes to the connectivity, professional audio-visual and education tech industries, supporting clients to navigate digital transformation and understand the opportunities this provides for technology providers. They’re a team of around 50 in the UK and they have a fully remote working setup. The office is open should people want to go in. We’ve placed 6 people with them over the last couple of years. They’ve tripled in size in the last few years also!
THE ROLE:
The role sits in their Pro-Audio-Visual team who look at commercial/business to business uses of equipment such as microphones, studio monitors, large concert touring speakers, amplifiers, ceiling speakers in offices, audio equipment within retail or airports, hotels, cruise ships, they also look at microphones and speakers for musicians and some for-content creators (YouTubers, Twitch streamers etc). Essentially any environment where professional audio or visual equipment is needed, they run research and market analysis.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Build and retain own industry research network- Contribute to the company's stance on new sectors/products/technology
- Deliver strategic and actionable insight through reports and presentations
- Provide ongoing proactive support for the business development function
- Manage the quality & consistency of analysis, insight, and forecasting
- Represent the company at external events
- Contribute to the strategic direction of company's service and product roadmap
- Relevant industry experience in a business insights / industry analyst role with exposure to multiple research methodologies.
- Comprehensive knowledge of market research principles and practices with demonstrated capabilities in both qualitative and quantitative research
- Strong analytical capabilities, ability to interpret and draw industry relevant insight
- Track record of identifying and driving new revenue streams through innovative product and service development.
- Outstanding client management and account management skills
