The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as a Community Coordinator, the role has been created to help further build and deliver our community engagement strategy to bring our purpose of ‘Doing GOOD things with GREAT food to life with our local communities. Your role as Community Coordinator puts you right at the heart of our group community initiatives. You will primarily be focused on organising the team to ensure smooth delivery of key projects focusing on reducing food insecurity, improve health & wellbeing and creating opportunities for our colleagues.

There will also be lots of opportunities to be hands on within our communities, dealing directly with community projects, local authorities/organisations and building a network across the group to enable us to support any initiatives that arise from such contacts. Within the group, we will rely on you to drive engagement with colleagues to help support our role within the community and to be a positive influence on others. Communication, both in terms of what is required to support our community work and to help share the work we are doing is also key.

You will build great relationships across the group and with appropriate external contacts that allow us to extend our reach in line with the wider responsible business strategy. Embodying the company values, you will be passionate about people and comfortable interacting at different levels. A solid understanding of how the business operates and an appreciation of the commercial implications of any support within our local communities will be vital to ensure you are successful. Adaptable and proactive, you will be comfortable working in a role that is varied and requires you to explore new opportunities and build new relationships. The nature of the role will often require swift action and as a result you must be comfortable feeling empowered to make decisions.
