Job description
We are looking for a Family Support Worker to join our dynamic and child-centred Children’s Services Team at Kirk Hallam Community Academy, supporting and leading on family-based needs across the academy.
The Children’s Services Team provides a pivotal link between our high expectations of personal development, behaviour, safeguarding and positive engagement in school. Our current team includes three core areas – Learning Support, Wellbeing Support and Pastoral Support. This post will offer additional non-teaching pastoral capacity to this team.
The Children’s Services Team prides itself on building excellent working relationships with students, teams of staff and parents to ensure every student has the support and guidance to keep them safe and achieve their full potential.
The post holder will support the behaviour, personal development, welfare and academic achievement of vulnerable students, working closely with families, students, and staff to remove barriers to learning and progress.
We are looking for a passionate individual who will be an integral member of our Children’s Services Team, and who will embrace our ‘Work Hard- Be Kind’ ethos. The successful candidate will be an excellent communicator and a role model who fosters a culture of high expectations and support.
