Job Description Summary
We have a fantastic new opportunity to work in our CMP Solutions team within our Cash Management & Payments (CMP) team.

Reporting to the Head of CMP Solutions, you'll be accountable for leading the Overdrafts Team where you'll manage and develop the Overdraft product for BCB clients, including setting the pricing, ensuring adherence to Regulatory change such as Consumer Duty, differentiating the product for the client segments within BCB and managing both income and balance sheet targets. This also involves Risk and Governance oversight as well as delivering product manufacturing to CIB CMP.

You'll work closely with our Platforms, Payments Product team and Accounts and Deposits team to define and develop the cash management and payments strategy for Business & Commercial Banking (BCB) against a backdrop of a progressive UK Payments regulatory agenda and a fiercely competitive and highly innovative marketplace.

CMP provides a diverse range of products and services both domestically and internationally to customers of BCB. The customers in these market segments are demanding and expect a significant level of expertise, improved digital experience and outstanding client journeys from the business.
Job Description

Key Accountabilities:
  • Lead a successful and multifaceted team through strategic change and growth in a fast-paced industry.
  • Provide regular business updates to the BCB CMP SLT on the overall execution of the agreed strategy
  • Contribute to the future development of the combined CMP proposition for BCB clients to create CMP 2.0 in an increasing competitive and innovative marketplace. Key to this will be;
    • Developing with the CMP leadership team the evolving future strategy for CMP
    • Explore internal solution developments (tactical and strategic)/ partnerships and market available propositions to enhance the Overdraft offering.
    • Improve and track performance against client journey metrics /KPI’s/ NPS and other clients satisfaction metrics

  • Represent the Bank on relevant UK and International industry payment forums to build our profile and identify business opportunities.
  • As a CMP Leader, you'll be responsible for upholding the LBG values and champion an innovation-led culture across the wider CMP team.
  • Drive diversity and inclusion agenda and strong talent and performance management approach.
Key capabilities, knowledge, skills, and experience:
  • Track record of leadership and delivery demonstrating a clear focus on meeting agreed business targets, priorities, and objectives – plus ability to deliver & commercialise investment projects.
  • Large scale change – Demonstrable experience in leading client focused, ground-breaking change across a large organisation and sophisticated partner matrix. Delivering both business and client value drivers to successfully meet important metrics across both performance and budget targets.
  • Business strategy and model – Proven ability to shape strategy and continuously improve the business through the generation of new and practical ways of operating to solve problems and gain competitive advantage.
  • Customer and Specialist Knowledge – An understanding of cash management and payments products, services and operational processes and extensive knowledge of the wide variety of products appropriate to businesses. Able to manage customer relationships in order to understand their needs and translate complex business requirements into a clear product line plan, ensuring its effective delivery to client needs.
  • Leading a Team – a strong and inspiring leader responsible communicating a range of the more complex issues using various forms of communication and able to convey an inspiring vision and purpose within the business area and as appropriate across other business units. Able to implement and maintain an appropriate organization structure with appropriate use of resources in response to changing demands.
  • Risk Management & Control – Able to identify, assess, supervise, control, and mitigate risks across the business and ensure effective governance, oversight, and controls in the business.
  • Regulatory – awareness & understanding of the regulatory framework & requirements in which the business operates (FCA, LSB, FOS, EU, and international considerations) and the Legal framework and entity structure of jurisdictions in which the role resides.
  • Collaboration - a strong teammate, willing and able to take the broader view for the benefit of the wider team, considering the needs of LBG.
