Job description

We’re looking to hire a full-time, remote Senior Python Data/Machine Learning Engineer. For this role, your primary focus will be collaborating with a team of developers in creating and implementing software applications and components. You’ll have the opportunity to choose your hours and work and learn with a team of world-class engineers and designers through a commitment to team collaboration, communication, and product quality.

Seniority Level: Mid-Senior Level

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of data science projects

  • Identify business problems, define project goals, and develop solutions.

  • Manage data pipelines, including acquisition, cleaning, integration, and transformation.

  • Develop machine learning models, select appropriate algorithms, preprocess and clean data, tune hyperparameters, and evaluate model performance.

  • Effective communication with leaders and other departments, presenting data science solutions, providing insights, and making recommendations.

  • Understand data privacy and security regulations and implement appropriate controls to protect data.

Requirements

  • The ideal candidate must have a degree in Computer Science.

  • Must have strong Python Data Experience using frameworks like Pandas and NumPy.

  • Hands-on experience in Python backend API development experience using frameworks such as Flask or similar.

  • Expertise in databases, ideally NoSQL and SQL.

  • Elasticsearch and ML experience using tools like TensorFlow or PyTorch is a big plus.

  • Full-time availability (40 hours/week)

  • A personal computer with stable internet

  • PhD or Master's degree in Machine Learning or AI (a big plus!)

  • Experience working for enterprise companies or FAANG companies (a big plus!)
