Senior Lecturer/Course Leader in Graphic Design

Full Time / Permanent Position
Salary starting from £43,392 per annum (pro rata)
About the Role
Our Graphic Design BA (Hons) course sits within the Visual Communication subject area, which is part of the Design & Digital Arts Department of the Nottingham School of Art and Design. The course benefits from an excellent reputation and recruit’s high calibre students with strong creative and academic abilities and is designed to develop these talents to ensure that our graduates leave us with unique combinations of knowledge, skills and attributes that are aligned to the creative industries of the future.
As our newest Senior Lecturer and Course Leader, you will provide academic leadership for the course, ensuring that it reflects University and School policy, practice and processes. You will be required to liaise and work effectively with the course team to deliver a dynamic and exciting curriculum, ensuring the quality and currency of the course and student experience. You will take an active role in shaping and enhancing course design and future curriculum development and will work in partnership with the Principal Lecturer in the subject area to delivery the strategic aims and ambitions of the course and department. You will contribute to a range of modules across the subject area and will be able to offer the required knowledge and attributes as detailed in the attached Person Specification.
You will have an excellent understanding of the subject area as well as knowledge of contextual research and current professional practice within the Graphic Design field, and will possess both academic and industry experience within the subject area.
You will hold a relevant degree, ideally coupled with postgraduate qualifications or evidence that you are prepared to continue your own education through research and continued professional development. A qualification in the HE sector is also an advantage.
