Senior Facilitator - Scoping & Facilitation Team

About the Role
Responsible for the talent, development and coaching strategies for the firm, the Talent, Development & Coaching Centre of Excellence (TD&C CoE) partners with the business to deliver high quality development opportunities that enable both the firm’s strategic priorities and individual growth of our people. We are a team of well-connected people professionals who bring creativity, expertise and market insights and work with subject matter experts in our business to respond to the development needs of the firm.
The Innovation and Investment Hub within the TD&C CoE is responsible for shaping how we design development solutions based on the latest market insights. The aim is to foster a creative environment, bring consistency to scoping and investment proposals and drive efficiency and innovation in how we design programmes and govern our portfolio of work.
The Scoping and Facilitation Team sits within the Innovation and Investment Hub and is accountable for the creative design process used across the CoE and for the creation of investment proposals in response to identified training needs, enabling effective portfolio governance and laying foundations for an efficient design and development process.
Reporting into the Scoping and Facilitation Team Lead, the Senior Facilitator is responsible for scoping projects and programmes with stakeholders and colleagues in the wider talent, development and coaching community. This involves the planning and execution of creative workshops for new or significant redesign projects and the development of investment proposals, as well as providing guidance, consultation and support to the TD&C Design Hub where this work is undertaken in portfolio teams on a more Business-As-Usual basis.
Key Responsibilities
Implement the strategic priorities for the Innovation & Investments Hub, in support of the Talent, Development & Coaching strategy, to enhance learning design at PwC.
Create high quality, accurate and impactful investment proposals for senior stakeholders and where necessary, attend relevant meetings to present proposals and respond to challenge.
Ensure approved investment proposals are appropriately transitioned into the Design Hub, to ensure continued development, providing oversight and guidance where needed.
Input into the establishment, documentation and iteration of internal design methodologies and processes and support the implementation of these across the CoE
Design and facilitate scoping workshops and consultative sessions with business stakeholders and relevant colleagues in the TD&C professional community of the People Function, to understand desired project or programme outcomes and to build investment proposals suitable for senior stakeholders.
In developing the strategy for workshop delivery, collaborate to ensure workshops are designed and facilitated to leverage the skills, and support the needs of the Design Team or workshop attendees, being cognisant of broader project milestones, risks and requirements.
Apply strong, inclusive facilitation skills that create an environment that is collaborative, creative and free from distractions, to get work done quickly and efficiently, holding the workshop process to unlock the knowledge, skills and ideas of attendees and navigate concerns and differing views whilst steering commercial outcomes.
Develop a strategy and plan for workshop preparation, delivery and follow-up and ensure that activities all support the desired outcomes, either independently or with the support of a Manager Facilitator.
Work closely with the Innovation & Insights Team and Governance and Impact Team to bring relevant data, information and research into scoping conversations, workshops & the Investment Proposal.
Remain connected to the latest external thinking and best practice in design methodology and creative facilitation, bringing this expertise to scoping proposals and the wider CoE.
Guide and coach both the Facilitation Managers/Senior Associates and Design Hub team members by ensuring that workshop inputs and outputs are of high quality and accuracy, providing structured templates and constructive review where necessary.
Be a key member of the Scoping and Facilitation Community of Practice, strategically spreading the responsibility for applying consistent design methodology and supporting creative design/ facilitation across the CoE.
Coach and support development at both an individual and team level to enhance team capability and promote knowledge sharing at a team level.
Contribute to a culture where team members are engaged, innovative and take responsibility for their continuous learning and drive collaboration and education across the broader L&D professional community.
Contribute to strategic projects and wider workstreams beyond the learning design portfolio.
Requirements
An experienced facilitator with the ability to operate across the spectrum of idea generation to practical application.
Ability to hold credible business conversations and communicate confidently and effectively at all levels, both in written and verbal form.
Demonstrable experience of successfully leading and coaching a team, empowering them to achieve their potential.
Experienced in scoping, collaboration and co-creation techniques, to design and deliver creative, immersive, intensive and collaborative sessions and to create high quality outputs in the form of either Investment Proposals or Programme Playbooks.
Learning and Development capability with experience in applying innovative thinking methodologies.
Strong stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing skills with experience of reaching consensus from diverse views.
Ability to influence others to adopt new concepts and different ways of working to offer support, guidance and encouragement throughout the scoping/design process.
Excellent project management and organisational skills to support the ability to determine project scope and timelines, predict resource requirements, develop and monitor a schedule of work and track project progress and risks.
Curious and creative, with the ability to develop new ideas and strategies and re-imagine processes and procedures, leveraging innovative thinking methodologies.
Demonstrable experience of leading projects and teams concurrently whilst operating within ambiguity and rapidly changing environments. Experience of achieving this whilst positively leading self and others through disruption.
Ability to work across multiple strategic priorities and projects in support of the L&D strategy.
A team player comfortable with working in a non-hierarchical environment, enthusiastic about collaborating with colleagues across all grades and backgrounds and open to constructive challenge and feedback.
Operate with a global and inclusive mind-set, demonstrating commercial acumen and an understanding of the firm’s business priorities.
Positive, can do attitude, particularly when dealing with ambiguity and ability to instil this in teams.
Resilient and able to work under pressure, managing and balancing multiple projects and priorities to tight deadlines whilst maintaining a focus on agreed objectives and deliverables.
