Job description

We are looking for an experienced Senior JS Developer who has a track record of successfully delivering development projects. As we are a remote first company the right person for this role would be someone who is comfortable working remotely in an autonomous and somewhat async environment.

We want you to be able to see the bigger picture, not just your immediate task list in front of you to ensure projects are running smoothly, proactively looking to innovate, streamline processes and push the boundaries for both Verse and our clients alike. Role and responsibilities

• Working with JS & React.
• Working as part of a wider team with project managers, designers, customer success and support desk analysts.
• Client facing interactions; including meetings, demos, handovers, etc.

Skills and experience
Required skills

• Must be experienced with JS & React
• Strong experience writing code that is accessible, scalable, maintainable, and performant

Desirable experience

• Experience working with TDD
• Have worked with headless CMS
• Knowledge of agile methodologies
• API integration / development (REST and GraphQL)
• Knowledge of SEO and/or Accessibility best practices
• Good understanding of software design and architecture

Location

Remote or Office-based.

We are a remote first company and also have two office locations in Birmingham and Kendal. From time to time we might require you to attend in-person meetings.

Type

Full time (part time considered)

8:30 to 17:00 with 1 hour for lunch. At Verse we do practice flexible working.

Monday to Friday total 37.5 hours a week.
