In last two years we have invested heavily in Priory Hospital Norwich in order to revitalise or service and ensure that we put our patients at the centre of everything we do. We are currently in the process of a phased opening and are looking for candidates who are committed to being a part of our long term journey. We are a busy acute unit aiming to offer a high standard of care and deliver great outcomes for patients. Due to the 24 hour nature of the unit, our nurses benefit from 24 hour medical and management cover in order to support the team on the ward to offer consistently high quality care at all times.
Reporting to our Director of Clinical Services the Night Co-Ordinator will work ensure the safe and appropriate management of the site throughout the night time delivery of care. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing the hospital at night, providing leadership and support to the ward based nursing teams, and clinical supervision as and when required. You will ensure that a high standard of patient care is provided and that the site complies with all quality standards and statutory requirements throughout the night shift. You will be supported to achieve this by 24 hour medical and management on call.
The successful candidate must be competent in the triage and management of referrals for patients with complex mental health difficulties, and be experienced in providing clinical direction and advice to support the ward to manage sometimes challenging situations.

Knowledge, Skills, Qualifications & Abilities
- Post registration experience ideally of working in more than one of the clinical areas provided at the hospital
- Experience of working as a Deputy Manager / senior nurse or equivalent role
- Good working knowledge of the Mental Health Act
- Ability to undertake physical requirements of PMVA
- Ability to be responsive and flexible
- We are looking for someone that can lead the hospital at night and ensure the principals of safe delivery are adhered to at all times.
