Job description

DeepOcean has an exciting opportunity for a Senior IT Specialist to join our team on a permanent staff basis, located in our Aberdeen office. As a part of the Global IT Team in DeepOcean, you will be a single point of contact for the Aberdeen office in solving technical problems. You will be responsible for computer hardware, software (location specific) and peripherals management and support.

Duties and responsibilities

  • A single point of contact for IT requests in the Aberdeen office.
  • Troubleshooting.
  • Management of Azure Active Directory, users and licenses.
  • Device management with Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot.
  • Management of on-prem IT infrastructure and cloud backup solutions.
  • Coordination and support of first line and third-party support and SLAs.
  • Second line support including suppliers.
  • Management of IT assets, including purchasing.
  • Providing training to fellow employees about network security and best usage practices.
  • Review and update of IT policies and procedures.
  • Focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience
  • BSc or MSc Degree within Information Technology area.
  • Equivalent of extensive relevant experience may suffice.
  • Experience on an IT Service Desk.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365 and Office applications.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft Intune and Windows Auto pilot.
  • Working experience with PowerShell.
  • Working experience with VMWare.
  • Ability to write technical support documentation.
